Hey! I’m Lucie, I live in Oxfordshire with my northern partner Tommy, he likes to express the northern part as according to him the north is best. He lives in a southern household now so I think he feels outnumbered. We live with our beautiful sassy little girl, Ellie and our two dogs. Luna, an adopted cockapoo who is mental, her nickname is Looney, she quite literally is a lunatic but we love her. Our newest addition to the family is Charles, our English bulldog puppy who weighs 30kg already, he's massive! He will steal your heart and quite possibly your shoes. When not working I spent the majority of my time with my family trying to go on as many holidays as possible! We have a camper van and I would live in it and travel if I could. I love travelling, the great outdoors, eating absolutely everything and drinking an ice cold glass of Pinot! I am even happier with a camera in my hands capturing all of the above. My family are now sick of me taking pictures but will that stop me? Absolutely not. I’m happiest whenever I'm creating something which in my spare time involves me painting my living room for the 100th time. It's now currently olive green but I’m already wanting to change it. I do love a good DIY project and between myself and Tommy we have created a beautiful home, which slowly keeps filling up with different species of animals. I’m quite sarcastic and like to think I have a good sense of humour, I love a good laugh and weddings are just full of them. I love to be around people who have the same energy as me, energy for life and enjoying every possible moment of it! I say love quite a lot because I do genuinely love more things than I hate. I have an unhealthy obsession with plants and trying my hardest to not kill them, I love them, they don’t love me. I’m not very good with following instructions, maybe that’s the creative part of my brain but I always see instructions and just completely ignore them, maybe that’s why I absolutely suck at baking and looking after plants…

About little old me..

Everyone has a point where they fell in love with photography and mine was completely by accident. I have always been creative and decided to pursue a degree in Fine Art.. I wasn't completely aware that not many people actually make any money from art, but I was an optimistic 18 year old and powered through. The only medium I was any good at and instantly became obsessed with was photography and I knew this is what I was meant to be doing. I managed to bag a 2:1 in Fine Art which basically involved me taking pictures of EVERYTHING for 3 years and apparently that was good enough! I had a blast. Life at 21 left me with a degree and very surprisingly a newborn, yes I did my final year of uni juggling dissertations and nappy changing, it's all about balance. That experience has made me everything I am today and I don't regret it for a second. I know it sounds so cliche but my daughter, Ellie, really did give me a purpose to make something of my life, for us both. I started off with family and newborn photography and accidentally fell into my first wedding for a family friend and I was hooked! As a photographer you either love weddings or you don’t. They are fast paced, stressful places at times and I think my previous experience of being a mum to a newborn whilst being a third year student gave me all the experience I needed. I love weddings. I love creating stories and capturing love, the joy, the tears, the happiness, it's such a special thing to be a part of. I love every wedding I am asked to capture and I learn more and more in  every one.
